Buddhism for Ordinary People
A 6 week Introduction to Buddhism course every Tuesday 12.00 pm - 1.30pm.
Starting Tuesday May 9th. (to 13th. June) at the Nelson Buddhist Centre, 87 Nile Street.
Nelson Buddhist Centre presents a course aimed at ordinary people living ordinary lives. We
cannot control what happens in life - the emotions that rise and fall, the thoughts that pop into
our head - but we can learn to improve how we react to circumstances and discover greater
happiness and satisfaction. Buddhism is a study of life, not a new set of beliefs you must
adhere to. It has been around for over 2500 years. Millions of people all over the world use its
practices to make their lives better, little by little, every single day.
If you have wondered about Buddhism and whether it might be for you, this course will be a
good starting point. The course will introduce you to some key elements and offer several tools
that will give benefit, even if practised for just a few minutes a day. If you’d like to feel generally
more joyful, this course may be just the ticket!
The presentations will be in plain speech, practical and interactive.
All beliefs, ages and stages welcome.
Presented by experienced members of the Nelson Buddhist Centre community.
Course cost: $60.00 Early bird special: $50 (must pre-pay by 18/4/16. NBC members 50% discount).
Please register as soon as possible.
We do not want financial constraints to be a barrier to taking part in any courses we offer at the NBC. If you sincerely wish to attend but cannot afford the full fee, please get in touch ahead of time.
