Teachings with Amnyi Trulchung Rinpoche
Meditation has become very popular in the West. I can understand why. There is so much anxiety at all levels of society.
The young worry whether what they are doing looks good or will be approved of; adults have pressures from examinations or from their work; with increasing age come health concerns or marriage problems; and finally, old age is accompanied by loss, loneliness, powerlessness and fear of death.
If we really want to alleviate these problems, what is the correct way to meditate? The Indian master Shantideva in his wonderful text, “The Guide to the Way of Life of the Bodhisattva” teaches the essence – how to keep the mind away from negative states and how to develop and encourage positive ones. A great yogi master Patrul Rinpoche summarised these teachings explaining how to adopt them in our daily life; how to transform our heart/mind towards kindness and compassion; how to stay positive in all circumstances.
This is the heart of meditation. It transforms us and makes life meaningful, not just temporarily, but in the very nature of our being.
These teachings will also be available on Zoom. Here is the link:
