Talks with Keith Rowan
(Now streamed online too. See notes below.)
Understanding the Buddhist view takes us beyond clinging to belief into a realm of direct knowledge, direct insight into the workings of reality and the causes of distress.
Every Wednesday throughout the year, following the 6 pm. meditation session there is the opportunity to explore any questions you may have. Buddhism is about the realities of living so anything can be the subject of investigation - understanding Buddhist philosophy, understanding your emotional world, or any current challenges you may be facing. If you don't have any questions you are welcome to join and benefit from the questions and sharing of others.
Buddhism is an extremely practical philosophy. These evenings are designed to help solve real-world, modern-day problems, so that we may reduce our suffering, and benefit from a better experience of life.
You are also invited to join us from 6 - 6.40 pm for a silent meditation session (optional).
NB: People of all faiths and inclinations are welcome.
ALSO: Every month there will be a talk on a specific subject. These talks will be announced separately.
About Keith Rowan:
Keith has, since 1973, travelled 5 continents studying Buddhist thought and practice. He has been fortunate to have had instruction and direct guidance from some great Buddhist teachers particularly his main guides Namgyal Rinpoche and Amnyi Trulchung Rinpoche. He has been sharing the Dharma and facilitating retreats for over 20 years in several countries. Keith's real skill though is taking the core essence of Buddhism and making it accessible to the western mind and practical for ordinary people.
The talks are also available streamed live from the Buddhist Centre using Zoom video conferencing. Use this link and password to join.
